  • 1/2 cup Sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • Handful of Slivered Almonds

  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

Preparation

  2. In a blender. Combine eggs, slivered almonds, can of sweetened condensed milk, and milk.

  3. Blend until smooth.

  4. Make your caramelized base. In a sauté pan heat 1/2 cup of sugar until completely liquid and brown.

  5. Quickly pour caramelized sugar into a ungreased 10x10 baking dish while hot.

  6. Immediately pour eggs & milk mixture into the sugar-lined baking dish and cover with foil.

  7. Bake for 45-60 minutes until the mixture is set. Use a toothpick to check if mixture is finished. If the toothpick comes out clean your flan is finished. Flan should still jiggle when finished.

  8. Let rest for an hour. Refrigerate overnight before serving.
