Summer Bodies Are Made in Quarantine

During this confusing time of the COVID-19 outbreak, health is very important and essential to maintain. While taking precautions as directed by health care officials such as staying indoors, social distancing, and wearing masks is absolutely essential, there are several other changes that can positively affect your health and boost your immune system while toning your body and getting you summer-ready!

Keep Moving

Staying active and keeping up with your normal exercise routine is crucial to keeping your body and immune system on high alert. Following along a workout program or class from our OnDemand platform is easy and requires little to no equipment so you can keep your routine. If you’re a cardio person then head for a hike, run, or a HIIT workout. There are endless options of workouts that anyone can do from home both posted on Facebook, Instagram, and OnDemand.

Keep Snacking Down

Instead of snacking all day, focus your efforts on meals that will keep you full, energized, and filled with healthy ingredients. The food we consume can either help or hurt our immune system, so during an outbreak, it is even more vital to give your body the good nutrients it needs to be able to fight any potential illnesses. Not only will these foods keep you healthy, they will make you happy! When you fill your body with healthy and wholesome foods your energy levels and mood will increase. No more sluggish feelings!

Don’t Neglect Your Mind

Your body isn't the only thing that controls your immune system. Your mental health, mood, and brain activity can also positively or negatively impact your health and immune system. By taking care of your mental health you’ll find more energy and be able to go outside, get active, and spend more quality time with the people in your household. Finding it hard to slow down? Follow along guided meditations here. Similarly, by keeping your brain active with puzzles, games, reading, and more you can keep your cognition on it's A-game, resulting in better decision making and healthier choices.

While this outbreak is very stressful, take time for your health. By taking precautions as directed by health care officials and taking care of your body, moving, eating healthy, and exercising your mind, your immune system will improve and you will be healthy and summer-ready in no time!
